Office life is not designed with a woman’s hormone cycle in mind, with long hours sitting at desks and low variety of tasks. Often, office spaces have dress codes - and the apparel that fits these codes can be uncomfortable and often physically restrictive.

This blazer caters to the office-working woman aged 24-50 years old. She is seeking clothing that fits the dress code and wishes not to sacrifice comfort for style.

Additionally, she struggles to find clothing that changes with her body as her hormones fluctuate throughout the month to reduce her spending on multiple outfits.

Feeling confident in the office is important to her, and she believes that when you look good, you feel good, and you work at your best.

Mood Board

A cisgender woman’s body goes through four stages
in her monthly hormonal cycle:

Mensturation, where she experiences uterine shedding and low hormones.

Luteal, where progesterone rises.

Follicular, where estrogen rises.

Ovulation, when an egg is released, and estrogen is at its peak.

During the target consumer interview phase, many women reported feeling less inflamed and more confident during the Ovulation and Follicular phases, and bloated and low in energy during the Menstrual and Luteal phases.

For this reason, 4” zippers are added to the front princess seams to allow for expansion in times of bloating or discomfort.
